On a 30-acre bluff overlooking the Bay of Fundy, a new kind of farm is growing — one rooted in integrity, renewal, and connection.
At Fundy Bluff Farms, we believe farming should heal the land, nourish people, and restore trust between food and community.
A Leap of Faith, A Life on the Land
We’re Barry and Sarah Brown, first-generation farmers who traded careers and city life for a calling that runs deeper than profit.
With no inherited land or family legacy, we started Fundy Bluff Farms from scratch - driven by faith and a conviction that food can be raised honestly, responsibly, and in harmony with nature.
The early years were filled with long days, mistakes, and learning by doing. But every challenge reaffirmed our mission: to build an ethical farm in the Annapolis Valley that regenerates more than soil - one that restores lives, purpose, and community.
Why Ethical Farming Matters in the Annapolis Valley
Modern agriculture often prioritizes speed and yield over health and balance.
At Fundy Bluff Farms, we do the opposite. Our approach — inspired by regenerative farmers like Joel Salatin - focuses on rebuilding soil, sequestering carbon, and honouring the natural rhythms of animals and land.
We raise multiple species together, allowing ecosystems to thrive rather than compete.
No commercial fertilizers. No antibiotics or hormones. Just thoughtful stewardship, rotational grazing, and respect for creation.

Our Guiding Principles
Our work is shaped by three simple but powerful principles:
Regenerative Landscapes
We focus on rebuilding soil health and biodiversity. By rotating animals frequently and mimicking nature’s patterns, we allow the land to rest, heal, and grow stronger each season.
Resilient Community
True sustainability begins locally. We aim to feed our neighbours, support local businesses, and create meaningful employment — especially for those rebuilding their lives.
Valuable Nourishment
We believe real food is worth more than a low price tag. Our pasture-raised meats are nutrient-dense, deeply flavorful, and raised with transparency from start to finish.
Feeding Our Community, Not the World
Our goal isn’t to scale endlessly — it’s to serve our corner of Nova Scotia with honesty and care.
Because when you know your farmer, you can trust your food.
We’re proud to bring pasture-raised meat in Nova Scotia to families who value quality, compassion, and connection. Together, we can build a healthier food system — one that truly nourishes land, lives, and locals.
